Do Not Waste Money Buying a Memory Card, Delete This Hidden File That is Taking Your Memory Space

You might have had reason to think about buying a memory card simply because your phone is becoming slow due to low memory space.

This is very annoying and the cost involved in buying a memory card can also be an issue. Most times getting the message “Internal storage running out of space” can be very annoying.

This is because, most times you might have deleted some very important files in your phone like your nice songs and videos and still get the warning.

You might have even had to uninstall some important applications on your phone just to free up space. However, do you know that you don’t really have to buy a memory card. The problem is that there is a hidden file on your phone that is taking a lot of memory space on your phone.

The funny thing is, the file is not even useful to you. I would be taking you through the steps on how you can be able to locate this file on your phone.

Step 1

The hidden file is called thumbnail, and it is located in your DCIM folder in your android phone.

All you need to do is to go to your file manager, look for the DCIM folder, click on it to find the thumbnails. After that, delete the thumbnail.

However, this thumbnail might not be seen simply because you haven’t enabled the “show hidden files option”. You have to enable the “Show hidden files option” from the three dotted icon above. When the thumbnail file shows, delete it.

Step 2

Go into your phone master application, from the options you see, select the “Deep Clean” option.

After you have selected it you would be shown several folders. Click on the “Large files” icon.

From the photo above you can see that the large files takes 7.98GB space of your phone memory.

On entering, you would see about the thumbnail data with numbers. From this picture below you can see that each of the thumbnail data holds over 3GB each, which totals over 6GB.

Select them and delete. You would see that your phone memory would be freed up.

You can now see that the large file space that was initially 7.98GB is now 333MB. This shows that you have saved for yourself over 7GB of memory space.

With this, there'll be no need for you to waste your money to buy a memory card.
