Don't Eat Egg If You Have These 3 Medical Conditions

For so long now we have heard of the benefits of eggs and how proteinous it is. It has gradually become a major component of our every day meal.

It compliments most meals and is very fast to prepare and quite affordable too. It can also be prepared in various ways according to the individual taste.

E ggs can be cooked, fried plain or made into a sauce, it is also a major ingredient in most baked foods. 

However, please read through this article carefully to know which medical conditions should not go with egg consumption.

Eggs on it's own, normally contains several vitamins and minerals that are important for good health.

These vitamins and minerals help to maintain brain health, a healthy immune system, promote good vision and also help to maintain a healthy pregnancy due to the folic acid in it.

They are also a good source of protein which helps maintain and repair body tissues, including muscle and also help people feel full for longer which can reduce the urge to snack and lower a person’s overall calorie intake.

Despite all these advantages of eating eggs, there are certain disadvantages that are too important to be ignored.

Eggs are loaded with cholesterol which is about 200 milligrams for an average sized egg. Also about 60 percent of the calories in eggs are from fat, much of which is saturated fat.

These two things are red flags when it comes to our health and what we should eat to improve it.

So people with the following medical conditions should stay clear of eating eggs.

1) Diabetes.

According to the World Health Organization, Diabetes is a chronic, metabolic disease characterized by elevated levels of blood glucose (or blood sugar), which leads over time to serious damage to the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys and nerves. 

Eating a diet high in fat can contribute to insulin resistance, which leads to diabetes. 

A review of 14 studies published in the journal Atherosclerosis showed that those who consume the most eggs increase their risk for diabetes by 68 percent.

Egg consumption also increases the risk of gestational diabetes, according to two studies in the American Journal of Epidemiology.

So people with diabetes should do well to stay clear off eating too much eggs.

2) Heart diseases.

Fat and cholesterol which is abundant in eggs, contribute to heart disease. 

Studies found that people who ate the most eggs had 80 percent higher coronary artery calcium scores (a measure of heart disease risk) compared with those who ate the fewest eggs.

3) Allergy.

This is a real thing that affects people but it is not usually taken very seriously. People are allergic to specific things and there are some people that have an egg allergy or sensitivity. 

A person with an allergy may experience a life threatening reaction from coming into contact with eggs or egg products.

It is essential for people with allergies to remember that baked foods often contain some egg, possibly as a powder, so it is very important to check ingredients lists carefully before using anything.

A person with an allergy may also need to note whether a product is made in a facility that uses eggs, as trace amounts can trigger severe reactions in some people.

So people with the above medical conditions should do well to avoid eating eggs and others should eat it in moderation.
