Abuja Plane Crash: The Pilot Is A Hero - Eye Witness Narrates How He Saved More Lives

Nigerian Air Force, NAF201 jet and B350i aircraft crashed into the bush in Abuja with seven personnel on-board. Unfortunately, all of them were confirmed dead. The military plane which is onboard to Minna, Niger State crashed close to Abuja airport.

One of the eyewitnesses during plane crash praised the pilot whom he described as 'hero'. The Twitter user @BlissOharisi, while narrating what occured moments before the plane crashed into the bush said the plane could have crashed into residential area, killing and injuring people.

However, the pilot controlled the plane into the bushy area, an act which saved the lives of hundreds of people.

Rescue team and the Federal Fire Service personnel were at the scene of the incident extinguishing the flame and searching for survivors.

Hundreds of sympathizers were at the scene filming the crash site. From the background of the clip, you could hear man speaking about littered dead bodies of the victims.

The Nigerian Airforce confirmed the incident and disclosed that the plane crash happened as a result of engine failure. The Airforce gave the details of the plane as Beechcraft KingAir B350i. It also confirmed the death of all the seven personnel onboard, according to Presidential Media-Aide Bashir Ahmad.

The Chief of Air Staff, I.O Amao ordered thorough investigation into the incident and urged members of the public to be calm and wait for the outcome of the investigation.

Prominent Nigerians extend their condolences to the family of the deceased personnel.

Former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar sent his thoughts and prayers to the family of the victims of 'the ill-fated' flight.

Activist Aisha Yesufu also sent her prayers to victims. 'May God give their families the fortitude to bear the loss. This is Tragic.' She tweeted.

We pray for the family of the deceased service men. We pray God consoles the families.
