The State House of Assembly bye-election in Ekiti on Saturday, March 20 turned violent and nearly claimed the life of a sitting senator. 

Nigerian Tribune reports that thugs invaded Senator Olujimi's Ward 7, Unit 7 polling centre just about three hours into the electoral process to choose a replacement lawmaker for Ekiti East Constituency one. 

The report said three people including a policewoman were reportedly killed by the thugs. Another five people are said to be injured and receiving treatment at a private hospital. 

Gov Ortom Speaks After Herdsmen Attacked His Convoy

Governor Ortom while briefing journalists at the Benue Peoples House after the incidence said as he was inspecting the farm, the militia herders, who dressed in black and had ambushed him and his security men, opened fire.

He said it took the swift response of his security aides to repel the attack, while he ran for a long distance to escape unhurt.

Governor Ortom said his life is in the hands of God and no Fulani militia has the power to take it without God’s permission, noting that as many times as they try, they would continue to fail.

He stated that the ranching law of the State will not be repealed for any reason, stressing that no intimidation could force his administration to reverse the decision of Benue people against open grazing.

Biafra Militia Gives Quit Notice To Oil Companies

The militia wing of the Biafra Nations League (BNL) has issued a quit notice to companies operating under Nigeria in the Bakassi peninsula.

The group alleged that Nigeria gets 60 percent of the oil in the region and uses the money to “sponsor” the Nigerian military against secessionists.

A BNL commander alias ‘Aso Rock’ accused the federal government of “killing armless pro-Biafra supporters in Imo State and Rivers State”.

The native of Bakassi stated that Nigeria no longer had rights over the area since its territorial ownership was ceded to Cameroon.

A popular Nigerian journalist, Austine Ejeke, has slammed Linda Ikeji for buying a G-Wagon for her dad, instead of bringing home a husband to him. Linda Ikeji's fans have started slamming Austine for his statement concerning Linda Ikeji. 

Recall that last week, Laura Ikeji, took to her Instagram page to reveal that her sister, Linda has bought a 2022 G-Wagon car for their father on his birthday. Laura Ikeji playfully referred to the G-Wagon as "toy.

A Nigerian man who raped a lady with his gang, has publicly pleaded for his victim's forgiveness. 

According to the story that took place in 2020, Ujunwa Olivia was a 16-year-old girl, who was brutally raped by 5 guys at the University. One of her rapists, Donkelly Onyeka, has publicly asked for her forgiveness.

Taking to his Facebook page (now deleted), Donkelly Onyeka, pleaded for Ujunwa's forgiveness after raping her with his fellow cultists.

He didn't only publicly beg for her forgiveness but also sent her a friend request on Facebook.
