The movements of food items and cattle items resumed operation from the Northern part of the country to the south. Remember that the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AUFCDN) embarked on a strike until there was compensation for the properties and lives lost at the Shasha Market crisis.
It was reported that some hoodlums stopped many food trucks from entering Kwara state and other neighbouring states. Well, this action led to serious traffic congestion. Note that this blockage was carried out near Jebba, Kwara State. Furthermore, this action led to the destruction of some perishable food items. However, the good news is that the movements of food trucks from the north to the south have resumed.
This good news has made many people react. A man identified as "Abdullahi Sadiq" on Twitter said it was good news because the southerners now understand the advantage of the north. Well, this comment made another Twitter user react by sharing his experience around Jebba road. He said he passed through Jebba where the food trucks were stopped, and he pitied the owners of the goods. He said so many people's business has been destroyed by that decision. He said people stood as they watched the goods waste.

The reality is that perishable food items like tomatoes, pepper, onions, some fruits and vegetables will decay and spoil under harsh weather conditions. Also, remember that we are presently experiencing hot weather conditions.
