Nigeria Army Raids Imo Communities, Arrest suspected IPOB, ESN

The Nigerian Army has sent troops to some communities in Imo State to conduct raids, discreet searches, and arrests of youths and residents accused of being connected to the Indigenous People of Biafra and its security arm, the Eastern Security Network.

Multiple sources told SaharaReporters that military forces, allegedly led by the 34 Artillery Brigade in Owerri, have been arresting male residents and youths in the Oguta and Ohaji communities since Sunday, putting them in vans and transporting them to unknown destinations.

El-Rufai Speaks

The only way to make schools safe, according to Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, is to destroy all bandits.

This was mentioned by the governor on Tuesday in Abuja at a conference on Financing Safe Schools in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Air Force, according to El-Rufai, should bomb the forests where bandits have been hiding out

“No one living in the forest is innocent, and we must all be killed,” he said.

The Chief of Air Staff has been doing well and this has contributed to a reduction in the activities of bandits in recent times."

Drones should also be purchased and deployed, according to the governor, to aid in the fight against banditry and other forms of criminality.

He went on to say that banditry can be put an end to if people stop negotiating with them and paying ransoms

Asylum To IPOB, MASSOB Members, Sabotage, Disrespect For Nigeria–FG Attacks Uk

The Nigerian government has criticized the United Kingdom's decision to offer asylum to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra who have been "persecuted."

Lai Mohammed, Nigeria's Information Minister, described it as a betrayal of the country, a sabotage of the war against terrorism, and a threat to the country's stability.

The issue, according to Mohammed, is under the jurisdiction of the Foreign Affairs Minister, who he believes will handle it appropriately.
