150 APC Chieftains Joins PDP In Nigeria.

Recently, about 150 members of APC joined PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) in Abuja.

It's important to know that the defection took place on Monday. The defectors handed over their APC membership cards, brooms, and posters in replacement of PDP's umbrella.

Godwin Poyi, (Leader of the defectors and former Kuje APC chairman) stated that they were dissatisfied by the approach of APC policies in their area.

Receiving the defector, the Chairman of PDP in Kuje Area Council, Ismaila Mohammed, said that more defectors will still Join PDP in order to develop democracy in Kuje.

Rochas Okorocha Speaks On Insecurity.

Rochas Okorocha (Imo West Senator) has said injustice and poverty are responsible for insecurity in Nigeria.

Okorocha said if the government failed to address poverty and injustice in Nigeria, no amount of ammunition can win a war against insecurity.

The former governor of Imo State made this statement during the "2021 NBA -Spidel annual conference".

He also assured of Nigeria’s unity despite agitation for secession.

Hoodlums Kills Another Policeman In Abia State.

A police operative providing security to a Chinese and his driver were killed on Friday in Umuahia.

An eyewitness said that the incident happened on Mission Hill Road at a spot where the office of the Nigeria Correctional Service is located.

The source also disclosed that the hoodlums appeared to have trailed their targets from Umuahia Cosmopolitan Area before opening fire on them at the scene of the incident.

The incident caused panic among residents of the capital city as the rumor was ripe that unknown gunmen were shooting in the city.

Akeredolu Speaks About The Ban On Open Grazing.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has said that the ban on open grazing by Southern state governors is irreversible.

Naija News had reported that the Presidency condemned the Southern Governors’ proposed plan to enforce the ban on open grazing.

In a statement released on Monday by the Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, the Presidency said that the plan by the governors to ban open grazing in the Southern part of the country is of “questionable legality”.

Speaking on Monday at the 2021 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA-SPIDEL) annual conference in Ibadan, Akeredolu said that the proposed plan to ban open grazing in the South would be legalised very soon.

Akeredolu, however, berated Abubakar Malami (the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice) over his comment on the decision of the governors.
