"We've Been Printing Money" –Amaechi

According to Peoples Gazette, Transport Minister Rotimi Ameachi has been caught on tape admitting that President Muhammadu Buhari has always ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to continue printing money since 2015.

Mr Buhari campaigned on promises to revitalize the Nigerian economy, but his administration has been chastised for worsening the country's economic situation over the last six years.

Mr Amaechi also revealed in an interview with journalists prior to the 2019 general election, in which Mr Buhari was re-elected, that they swore an oath never to publicly admit to Nigerians that the government was on a printing spree of the national currency.

The Ondo State government has evacuated 42 suspected invaders who were apprehended recently at Okitipupa, the headquarters of the state's Okitipupa Local Government Area, by men of the Ondo State Security Network, Amotekun.

The invasion of the men who claimed to be in the state for security training caused tension in the community after residents raised the alarm, drawing the attention of the Amotekun corps to the development.

Chief Adetunji Adeleye, the state Commander of Amotekun in the state, said the 42 men were arrested after they were unable to explain their mission in the state.

Until You Release N19VN, We Won't Call Off Strike, ASUP Tells FG

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has vowed to continue its nationwide strike until the Federal Government takes action.

According to the union, the Federal Government must release the N15 billion revitalisation fund in monetary terms (rather than a mere paper statement) to the nation's public polytechnics, as well as another N4 billion to pay the backlog of the new minimum wage arrears owed to its members.

Dr. Anderson Ezeibe, the National President of ASUP, hinted at this in an exclusive interview with Tribune Online over the weekend.

"I Have Improved Aba From What I Met" –Ikpeazu

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State, has stated that he has improved the city of Aba from the poor state of infrastructure he met when he took office in 2015.

He revealed that most of the roads had been abandoned for over 20 years because trees had grown in them, while others were regularly flooded throughout the year.

According to him, flood waters had been sitting on the roads for more than 15 years, and he needed to use cement pavement technology on the roads with drainage on both sides to ensure durability.
