I am not surprised by my husbands death- TB Joshua's Wife

Evelyn, wife of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, aka TB Joshua, on Wednesday, said the death of her husband was an act of God.



She spoke when a delegate from the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, led by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, paid her a condolence visit in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

TB Joshua died in Lagos on Saturday at the age of 57.

His widow, while speaking to officials of the state government, said the death did not come to her as a surprise.

EFCC nabs father and son for alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said it had commenced investigation into alleged conspiracy, computer-related fraud, obtaining by false pretences and retention of proceeds of unlawful activities levelled against one Malik Bakare.


A statement by the anti-graft agency’s Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said Malik was arrested by officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Lagos, on May 31, 2021, and handed over to the EFCC for further investigation and prosecution.

The statement read in part, “Investigation revealed that he acts as a middleman, who connects Internet fraudsters around the globe with pickers, and receives some percentage on every successful transaction from the proceeds of unlawful activities.”

Enough with ethnoreligious, political divides- gov bello

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi has called on Nigerians to halt all forms of ethnic, religious and political divides threatening the peace, unity and development of the country.


Bello made the call on Wednesday in Abuja when he received members of the Ex-Agitators Forum from the Niger Delta on a solidarity visit to him for his achievements in security and unity in Kogi.

He said that Nigeria could only be fixed if everybody, irrespective of ethnic origin, religious and political views, came together.

Police confirm killing of 10 year old girl by suapected hoodlums

The Police Command in Osun on Wednesday confirmed the killing of a 10-year-old girl by suspected hoodlums on a motorcycle at Ilerin, along Ilesa-Iperindo Road.


The comnand’s Spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, said in a statement that the suspected hoodlums shot at the girl, her mother and another child while on a motorcycle.

Opalola said, “As a result of the shooting, the three of them on the motorcycle sustained injuries, but the little girl died on the way to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTECH), Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.”
