The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has continued in its relentless effort to curb the rate of internet fraud especially amongst youths of the nation.

It is no longer news that some youths now indulge in various kinds of scams to get wealthy quickly. These fraudsters have defrauded unsuspecting victims of their hard-earned money.

Hence, in the latest report making media headlines, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibadan zonal office has paraded over 50 alleged fraudsters in their recent raid in an estate in Ibadan.


Reacting to this news, Joe Igbokwe the special adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state has lamented as he shared the news on his Facebook handle. According to the APC chieftain, "we are in trouble".


This high rate of internet fraud amongst some Nigerian youths should be a serious concern to the government. This high rate of internet fraud sends a wrong signal to the global community. Hence, EFCC should be commended in this recent arrest of these internet fraudsters.
